    | CHARACTER OF THIS CLASSIFICATION LEVEL
In positions at this level, incumbents perform highly skilled technical
support services in one or more disciplines and act as a senior resource
person in a technical area.  Work involves completion of academic,
administrative, research and curatorial responsibilities used for teaching
        and research purposes.
General direction is provided by a more senior administrator or academic
staff member, however, a high degree of initiative, judgement and resourcefulness
is required.  Incumbents provide direction and guidance to technicians
at lower levels and may be required to assume their responsibilities and
those of a senior administrator during normal absences.
