Biography:
Dr. Rawia Azzahrawi earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning from the University of Manitoba (2024), specializing in translanguaging, language maintenance, and identity among multilingual learners. Her doctoral research, "Translanguaging and Language Maintenance Among Arab Students: Immigrants and Refugees," examined how multilingual practices shape belonging, cultural continuity, and educational success. Her scholarly work appears in journals such as the "Journal of Advanced Research in Education" and "SN Social Sciences," and addresses themes of multiculturalism, anti-racist pedagogy, and inclusive education. With extensive postsecondary teaching experience, Dr. Azzahrawi is committed to advancing equity, decoloniality, and multilingualism in education.
